On Point

The rooms were clean and comfy, all front desk staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Pool and spa were on point! Easy shuttle access for the village!

Patient, Clean and Well Kept

This is one of our highlight for the trip to the National Parks. We booked months in advance and were making changes even up to the last week. The staffs answered my emails promptly and were very accommodating to all our change requests. (we booked the 2 bedrooms apartment). The apartment was clean and very well kept. Kitchen was spotless. We were able to do our laundry on site. We totally enjoyed our stay. Special shout out to the front staff as they were so patient with our million questions. Thanks for making our day.

Stayed here on a roadtrip. Great hotel. Clean and updated. Great luggage carts. Breakfast served. Nice updated rooms. Bed is comfortable. Has shampoo and conditioner and lotion and body wash in big bottles. Good water pressure. Great affordable place to stay and it’s quiet.

Clean, Neat and Well Maintained

Friendly staff, rooms were clean and smelled good. Everything in the rooms worked well, fridge, TV, and hair dryer included in rooms. A simple hotel, but clean, neat, and well maintained

Above and Beyond

I was recently put in a complicated situation that was out of my control. Ashley went above and beyond to help me. Thanks again!

Beautiful Hotel on Trip

Very nice hotel to stay. Lots of parking space, clean room, new furniture. No need for anything else. This was the best hotel in our 24 day usa trip.

Just What We Needed

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Emperia High Sierra Hotel after a day exploring Yosemite 🏞️, and it was just what we needed for a relaxing night 🛏️. The Hispanic guy at check-in in the evening was super professional and friendly 🙌, which made us feel welcome right away 😊. The atmosphere was peaceful and cozy—perfect for couples looking to unwind 💑✨. We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect stop before continuing our trip 🚗. Definitely recommend for a quick, comfortable stay!

Find answers to all your burning questions, here.

Do you have parking and is it free?

We have parking available for 1 vehicle per room (subject to weather conditions) and it is free. Should you need a second parking pass, have a larger vehicle such as an RV or be pulling a trailer, please inquire with us prior to arrival so that we can provide you with some direction. Parking can be particularly tight during winter months when some of our parking becomes snow storage.

Do you have WIFI throughout the hotel and is it free?

Yes, Wireless internet access is available in every nook and cranny of the hotel and it is complimentary.

Do you have views?

We do have a few rooms on the top (3rd) floor with views. If that is important for you, contact the front desk to ensure that you book a room type that has this view.

What are the Pool & Hot tub hours

Our indoor heated pool and hot tub are open from 8am to 10pm. Towels are available there and you will need your key to enter.

Do you have laundry facilities?

Yes, we have coin operated laundry facilities located at the end of the first floor hallway.

Are pets allowed?

We allow dogs (up to 2) in our rooms on the first or second floors only. Make sure you are booking a pet friendly room when making your reservation. There is a $35/pet/day pet fee and you will be responsible for any damages to the room such as pet hair on furniture. We can provide you with an old sheet to reduce such damages. Please ask for one at the front desk. (subject to change).

Are there restrictions if I have an emotional support dog with me?

According to the ADA law, emotional support animals do not qualify as a service animal when staying at a hotel. It does for long term housing such as renting an apartment to live in. As such, we will move you (if necessary and available) to a pet allowed room and charge you a $35/pet/day pet fee (fee subject to change).

Do you make exceptions to your policies for inclement weather?

No…most of the time. You are choosing to come to the mountains which means that you should prepare yourself to handle the weather appropriately. If you are uncomfortable with an incoming storm, know your cancellation policy so that you can cancel in time…or get travel insurance.

Do you offer a rewards program?

Yes, when you make a reservation with us through our website check the box to accept becoming a member of The Guest Book. When reservations are booked directly with us you will receive your choice of the below shortly after departure: 5% cash back via pay pal or gift cards 5% donation to a non profit of your choice 15% cash forward towards another stay at a partner hotel. Visit TheGuestBook.com to view the details.

During winter months I hear that roads can be dangerous when there are snow storms. What should I prepare for?

When traveling into the Sierra Mountains in winter, it is expected that you will prepare yourself for having to deal with stormy conditions. Some tips: Know your cancellation policy as we do not make exceptions due to your concerns of a storm. Most storms are known in advance and if you don’t want to deal with a storms potential, cancel your reservation before your cutoff day. Carry snow chains which is a requirement by the DOT and know how to put them on. You don’t want to be on the side of the road in a white out ‘figuring’ it out. Put your headlights on, take your time, leave more distance between vehicles and putting on your ski goggles might even make it easier to see.

I’ve heard that you have coyotes and bears roaming around town. Should I be concerned about walking outside after dark?

No need to be concerned. Our little town is in the middle of a beautiful forest and therefore we often see it’s wild animals checking things out. For the most part they are looking for food…and you are not part of their food chain. This doesn’t mean, however, that you should approach any of them. They are wild animals and will protect their young and any food that they have acquired. Enjoy them from afar. If you unexpectedly encounter one, make lots of loud noise. Our bears are black bears, not grizzlies, so will generally go in the other direction away from you. (Be prepared, however, for a possible ‘grunt’ of disagreement) Once the bears come out of hybernation in the spring, they are hungry and looking for easy food. They will break into your car to get that great smelling bag of McDonalds. Make sure to clean out your vehicle of any food, anything that might smell like food or anything that might look like food such as a cooler. We are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle due to a bear breaking in.

Are there any restaurants or retail shops within walking distance?

Yes, in-house we have Skadi Restaurant (You’ll want to make reservations for dinner) and have a large diversity of restaurants and retail close by. As the front desk for a map and options.
